Location and Access
The Sisson Mine is in the Mother Lode country of California. The mine is in the Tahoe National Forest 8 miles northwest of Sierra City. Access is via the Gold Lake Highway off State Highway 49 east of Sierra City. Follow north on the Gold Lake Highway for 1 mile, turn left on Parker Lake Road and follow it to the end of the road. The OHV trail is a 3-mile hike to the Sisson Mine. The mine is in metasedimentary rocks approximately 3 miles from the contact with intrusive rocks to the east.
Geology and Mineralization
The USGS estimated a historical resource (non-compliant NI 43-101) contained in the property of about 30,000 ounces at a grade of 0.10 opt. The Company is seeking the USGS data used in calculating this resource for its own analysis.
