Location and Access

The Golden Project area is located near Idaho State Highway 14 about 33 miles east of Grangeville, Idaho, a service center for the region. Infrastructure at Golden is excellent with a paved state highway, electrical service, and access to labor and services at Grangeville. The Golden Project contains four historically producing gold mines: Clearwater, Sentinel, Blackbird and Iron Crown. 

Geology, Mineralization and Exploration Plans

The Golden Project is within the Ten Mile Gold District centered on the now abandoned towns of Golden and Newsome, Idaho. The areas contain several historical gold mines and large placer operations. The geology of the area is a series of grabens composed of metamorphosed Proterozoic belt sedimentary rocks, Cretaceous Idaho batholith intruded by Tertiary rhyolites and dacitic dikes. The Golden project covers a series of parallel shear zones with numerous historical mines. Hydrothermal alteration consists of silicification, seritization and chloritization. 

Mineralization is hosted by three types of broadly defined deposit types; Tertiary epithermal deposits, Cretaceous intrusive related gold systems and orogenic shear zone deposits hosted within the batholith. Mineralization includes: 

  • Disseminated low-grade precious metal mineralization in associated stockwork veins;
  • Hydraulic breccias and extensive widespread alteration; and,
  • High-grade gold associated with discreet structurally controlled quartz veins and silicified zones.

The Company undertook a surface soil sampling program on a portion of this project in summer of 2021 which yielded highly encouraging values typical of a shallow, oxidized bulk gold target that occurs in other nearby known deposits of the area.
